2024-2025 Schedule
1st 10 Week Session
September 16, 2024 to November 22, 2024
Upon entering pointe classes, students will receive guidance from the Artistic Director on class placement.
Pre-Pointe
Ages 10+
Dancers can register for this class in addition to their other classes.
This class teaches the 5 basic foundations to learn how to get stronger and reach the range and flexibility for pointe. This class incorporates functional exercises to benefit pointe work. Core stability is another aspect they learn here. Students learn proper posture to help balance on pointe. Hip alignment and foot strength are both a focus of this class. Dancers stay at this level anywhere from one to three years.

Beginning Pointe
Ages 12+
Dancers can register for this class in addition to their other classes.
Beginning Pointe is geared towards dancers who have just received pointe shoes. It starts with basic skills like how to sew ribbons and elastics, how to properly tie ribbons, how to be responsible while taking care of the shoes. Students focus on how to rise or “roll up” and down safely in pointe shoes. The emphasis is on proper foot and ankle alignment and strengthening at the barre. We continue to utilize the 5 foundations in this level and students may remain in this class for at least one full year.

Intermediate/Advanced Pointe
Ages 13+
Dancers can register for this class in addition to their other classes.
The intermediate/advanced pointe class is continuation of traditional classical ballet exercises to strengthen and challenge the dancer as they grow in their technique. They will spend more time doing center work, traveling across the floor and building skills to learn ballet corps work and variations.

Variation Class
Ages 13+
Dancers can register for this class in addition to their other technique classes.
In this advanced pointe class we learn original choreography from well-known ballets. Students will be able to dance one variation full out by the end of the session. This is an opportunity to gain more stamina while also learning choreography quickly and applying individual corrections.

Terms & Conditions
Tuition is due at the beginning of each 10 week session. Tuition will be prorated if registering after first day of classes. All students are charged a $20.00 registration fee.
