Hansel and Gretel

After an evening of picking berries in the woods, Hansel & Gretel realize they are hopelessly lost with no chance of making it back to the cottage before nightfall. Hansel begins to cry and Gretel comforts him as fourteen angels gather round as they sleep:

"When I lay me down to sleep
Angels guard o'er me doth keep;
Two on watch are staying,
Two are softly praying,
Two to guard my right hand,
Two to guard my left hand,
Two to slumber take me,
Two from slumber wake me,
Two who watchful tarry,
My soul to God I carry."
