Gather 'round and enjoy three tales by Hans Christian Andersen. First, travel down the road with an old man who trades the family horse for an unusual gift for his wife. Then, swim with a frustrated mother duck that can't understand how such a large, ugly creature could be part of her fine duckling family. Finally, join a princess who meets a prince looking for just the right wife. All three stories will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.
'Twas is the perfect way to begin your holiday season. This traditional expanded story, created through dance and set to familiar and favorite Christmas carols, will delight the senses of children of all ages. From decking the halls and visions of sugarplums to dancing stockings and prancing reindeer, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas will come alive on stage.
After the performance, the audience is invited on stage to talk to a special visitor from the North Pole.
Fearless young Peter disobeys his Grandfather and ventures outside the gate into the meadow to see his friends, the Bird, the Duck and the Cat. A short while later, the situation takes a dramatic turn with the Cat on one branch, the Bird on another and the Wolf circling round and round beneath them. A predicament to say the least! Join Peter and the hunters as they try to catch the Wolf.
Raymonda Variations and Little Bit of Country will also be presented during this program.
