A beautiful young girl sits in the window of toymaker, Dr. Coppelius' house and is the object of great interest, especially to a young village girl, Swanhilda. She believes her fiancée, Frantz, is in love with the girl and along with her friends sneaks into the house. They make the amazing discovery that the "girl" is just a life-sized doll. The toymaker returns and the unexpected happens. With potent drinks, magic spells, and frantic dancing.......surprises do happen. |
