Students discover the joy of
classical ballet at the CARE
Conservatory of Ballet.
Creative Arts Repertoire Ensemble (CARE) is a non profit organization dedicated to the support and growth of dance in Michigan. CARE was founded in 1992 for the express purpose of providing ballet performances for student audiences as well as the general public. CARE encourages, promotes and assists young artists by providing performance opportunities, knowledge of technical staging, and positive dance experience while concentrating on the dancer as a whole.
CARE presents three public performances at St. Cecilia Music Center each season. The performances introduce families to dance by presenting condensed versions of classic ballets and original ballets based on children's literature. There is also an opportunity to meet the cast on stage following the performance. This season's performances include Tales of Hans Christian Andersen, Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Peter and the Wolf. See information on current performances and member profiles.
Annually, CARE participates in the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts. CARE also collaborates with other local organizations such as Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, and the John Ball Zoo. In the summer of 2008 CARE performed at the Maranda Park Parties.
